We conceptualized, designed, produced, and implemented a special awareness campaign that functioned as a living installation, aiming to convey a simple and clear message: “This is normal”. By promoting the idea that inclusivity and being together, anywhere and everywhere is a matter of choice, from school to work, from fun activities to everyday life moments, this message was printed on life-size figures of people with different disabilities. These life-size printouts were placed at the Metro (Athens subway), and in theater seats across town for a period of one month. In this simple way, S.K.E.P. offered a live stimulus to everyone who saw them, challenging all of us to ask ourselves why we don’t see around us the 15% of people who live with disabilities and above all, to realize that what excludes them from our own daily life are the obstacles we put up against them as society.
